FULL TIME, NON-EXEMPT


Ramsey Washington Suburban Cable Commission is the governing body of the community access operations for the North East metro. SCCTV features professional staff productions of everything from local sporting events, plays and concerts to high school graduations and community parades as well as shows that provide news and information about our 11 member municipalities in the north east metro. IT Coordinator:

Responsible for administration of IT operations, including planning, implementation, and daily operations of hardware, software, and all networks utilized across all departments and operations. Broadcasting technology changes to include more IP functionality have necessitated the need for an IT coordinator who also understands broadcast technology. This position will work closely with the Technical Lead to maintain all of the IT hardware and software as well as a wide range of broadcast audio and video technology.


About you:

You are a wiz at all things IT both Hardware and Software.  Networking, Server Admin, Desktop support, and an understanding of programming. Comfortable with Macintosh OS X, Windows, and Linux. You must be able to troubleshoot end user issues, Identify possible infrastructure improvements, and maintain all hardware to keep everything running smoothly. Knowledge of AV and broadcast operations and hardware is a plus.



What You’ll Do:

  • Research & development in preparation of technology budgets as well as coordinate bidding and purchasing related to IT budget;
  • Research, Procurement, Installation and maintaining software and hardware. Coordinate and provide presentations to staff and policy makers;
  • Maintain Macintosh OS X, Windows, Linux., Editshare Storage;
  • Need to be able to diagnose issues with mobile devices, including but not limited to
    • Apple, Android and Windows;
  • Organize and maintain IT hardware, software inventory management;
  • Department and Staff support and training
  • Maintain and monitor a robust Network Management System (NMS) to monitor all  aspects of both our IT and Broadcast operation;
  • Diagnosing and Troubleshooting of IT components, systems, networks;
  • Develop, maintain, coordinate, DNS, Directory Services, VPN, VLANS;
  • Fluent in AppleScript, Javascript, Perl, PHP and Unix Bash Scripting;
  • Knowledge in HPE ProCurve, Cisco IOS;
  • Administer Apple's Open Directory, Server Admin, Workgroup Manager;
  • Troubleshoot, maintain and managing of Adobe Premiere Non linear editing systems;
  • Perform command line administration of IT systems as required;
  • Maintain multiple domain web and G suite email hosting infrastructure;
  • Maintain and manage networking devices such as printers, laptops, desktops, mobile devices, switches, and wifi access points;
  • Manage issues related to Server Level Administration, Security, Web Server Configuration, and backup solutions for disaster recovery of data;
  • Liaison with IT personnel from other jurisdictions and cable company;
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Must be available to work a flexible schedule of day, evening and weekend hours, as dictated by facility schedule.
  • Must be willing to work an on-call rotation
  • Must be able to work effectively with minimal supervision.


What You’ll Need:

  • 5+ years of prior experience in IT.
  • Proven ability to understand and manage IT infrastructure.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a demonstrated ability to identify issues, resolve them quickly.
  • Strong verbal, presentation and written communication skills as well as strong conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
  • Strong ability to manage multiple projects, activities, and tasks simultaneously

Desired

  • Knowledge of AV and broadcast operations and hardware.
  • Knowledge of Tightrope Media Systems Broadcast Automation and Digital Signage
  • Knowledge in VMWare Virtualization
  • Degree in IT or related field.
  • 2+ years broadcast environment experience.
