Frequently Asked Questions
Q: I want to make a television show. What should I do?
A: At an absolute minimum, you and your crew must become certified to use the studio. To become certified, you must complete the Intro to Studio class. Once certified, you simply reserve studio time and make your show. (Of course, there's a bit more than that- ask SCC staff for more details.)
Q: I don't like (was offended by) one of the programs I saw on your channel. Will you please do something about it?
A: We appreciate your concern and feedback. If you wish for us to investigate a program,
please call us and file a formal complaint.
With that said, please keep in mind that Public Access television is grounded in the First Amendment of the Constitution.
That is to say that the images and sound presented by volunteer producers is legally protected speech. Exceptions to that
would be programming that the District Attorney views as obscene in such a manner that the producer(s) could be subject to
criminal charges.
